It's all change here at Clare Nicolson HQ. I'm going to be moving to London very soon. It's time to take a little break from my own design business while I get settled, and to concentrate on making new creative plans.

I'm good at lots of things...

1) Designing for textiles, paper, print and web
2) Interior and prop styling
3) Product design and development
4) Buying from and working with independent designers and makers
5) Designing, building and styling trade show, retail and exhibition spaces
6) Curating, designing and running an online shop
7) Designing and printing POS materials, posters, flyers, adverts, web banners and brochures
8) Organisation and curation of large scale exhibitions and events

I'm open to all kinds of creative work and really looking forward to living in a new city and having new adventures.

The A/W 2012 Cushion Range Is Here!

The new A/W 2012 cushion range is now available for PRE-ORDER! The cushions are digitally printed onto beautiful oatmeal shade fabric, are 18 x 18 inches, have a concealed zip opening and come with cushion insert included.

Portugal

I'm just back from an amazing trip to Portugal. After spending the last week in the sunshine I'm refusing to look outside at the dreary, rainy weather. Instead, I'm looking at my favourite tiles and patterns I saw on my trip.

I'm Havin' A Clear Out

It's a fact. I have too many clothes. I have a wardrobe so full that you have to squeeze in the clothes in a very special way to allow the doors to close. I used to have a wardrobe exclusively for shirts. Nothing else. Just shirts. I also have a bureau. Is it full of pretty stationery and writing sets? No. It's full of clothes and shoes. I think it's time for a clear out!

My Very First Print Collection

After weeks of waiting, I'm so pleased to finally launch my very first print range! I spend my days creating patterns and prints for textiles so I thought it was about time I made some nice pattern for your walls!

I've started with a range of 8 designs which are all digitally printed on beautiful 250gsm matte paper. Each design is available in both A4 (297mm x 210mm) and A3 (297mm x 420mm)

A New Collection For Summer

There has been much bouncing off the walls in excitement here at the Clare Nicolson studio this week. Why? It's finally here! The new collection! It's here!

About a month ago I had the sad news that the digital print people I've been using for the last 7 years were closing down. This all happened just as I was placing a new order for my new collection! Disaster! After lots of research I've found a brand new (still UK based of course) fabric printer who I'm very happy with.

So, after that little hiccup, I'm pleased to finally launch the new collection! The new cushions are available now online

Selina Lake: Homespun Style Book Launch

On Thursday, I'll be dragging the largest suitcase I own to the bus station to get the Megabus down to London. Why am I putting myself through 10 hours of smelly bus toilets, boredom and numb bum syndrome? It's time for the launch of Selina Lake's new book Homespun Style!

Home London 2012

So this is a bit overdue, but last month I was selling at the Home show down in London. It was my first time exhibiting in a few years so I wanted to come back with a bang! I launched the new cushion collection and the Lotta bird cushions which had their first outing at a trade show.

My favourite part of doing the shows is setting up my stand. It's like decorating your house, but in miniature!

Florida Fun

Ooh, I've been a bit quiet here lately! There's been so much going on recently. Holidays, new products, Christmas preparations and trade shows.

Last week I got back from a family holiday in Florida. In between stuffing my face with delicious seafood and trips to Disney World, I squeezed in some Florida style thrifting.
